As luck would have it, while visiting friends in Chicago last weekend, I happened across a previously unheard-of  product that was sitting seductively on my friend’s bathroom vanity.  The product was Glytone Daily Facial Cleanser.  Glytone is an oil free, fragrance free facial cleanser that contains 5.9% glycolic acid.  The formula is supposed  to be lightly lathering, and upon trying it, I found that to be true, although initially, it has a lotion-like consistency.  Glytone did not burn my usually sensitive skin, washed off easily, and did not leave a residue.  I noticed that my skin immediately felt a bit more smooth than normal and did not feel the least bit dry.  After several more days of use, I could definitely see a difference in my skin.  It was soft, smooth, and my average-sized pores were visibly minimized.  I also noticed that my skin tone seemed to be brighter and more even.  Glytone did not cause me to break out—and, as a matter of fact, I haven’t broken out at all since I began to use it.   I have to say that, overall, I was impressed with Glytone Essentials Daily Facial Cleanser, but I caution that it isn’t a miracle product.  The immediate changes in my skin had more to do with tone and texture, not fine lines or wrinkles.   Time will tell if I see any improvement with fine lines and wrinkles in the future, but for now, I’m giving Glytone Essentials Daily Facial Cleanser an A- for its relatively immediate benefits to skin tone and texture.
